The challenge
Vesta Arkitekter needed to compete in an industry where established players dominate through reputation and portfolio depth.
Our Approach
Rather than hide their youth, we made it an asset through a minimalist, brutalist aesthetic.
The Solution
We transformed materials into strategic brand assets, creating touchpoints that carry the tactile quality of their architectural work.
Vesta Arkitekter, founded by newly graduated architects from Chalmers University, faced the classic newcomer dilemma: how to compete in an industry where established players dominate through reputation and portfolio depth. We needed to project an image of contemporary, credible architects while staying true to their passion for natural materials and craftsmanship.
Rather than hide their youth, we made it an asset. Vesta wanted to position themselves within new-wave architecture with hints of English post-modern brutalism. The question became: how do we translate their material-focused philosophy into a visual identity that feels both trustworthy and distinctly different? Working with architects has its advantages. They're creatives who understand design history. This allowed us to quickly align on direction and cross-reference between their vision and their clients' expectations. We applied a minimalist, brutalist aesthetic through a material-focused lens, always maintaining an architect's perspective on craft and substance.
We transformed materials from decorative elements into strategic brand assets. Every touchpoint carries the tactile quality of their architectural work. The result is a brand that competes not by mimicking established firms, but by offering something genuinely different: architecture informed by craft, youth, and confidence.
